Leaf Village
Hokage Tsunade: female; age 57; birthday August 2nd; 5'4” tall; blond with amber eyes, usually appears much younger than her actual age. A gifted medic-nin, able to cast the Rebirth jutsu; summons a giant acid-spitting slug named Katsuyu. She is the Fifth Hokage of the Leaf Village and has been in the position for over 5 years.
Shizune: female; age 32; birthday November 18th; 5'6” tall; jonin rank; short, dark hair. She is one of the Hokage's closest and most trusted aides; she is also an excellent medic-nin.
Elder Councilor Koharu Utatane: female; age 72; birthday September 1st; 5' tall; gray hair worn in a bun.
Elder Councilor Homura Mitokado: male; age 72; birthday May 8th; 5'4” tall; short gray hair but balding, wears glasses.
Kakashi Hatake: male; age 31; birthday September 15th; 5'11” tall; jonin rank; silver hair; right eye is dark brown, left is red Sharingan iris with 3 black flecks. An elite jonin, known as the Copy Ninja; always wears a mask over his mouth and nose with a headband slanted to cover the Sharingan unless he wants to use it; likes to read “erotic” novels; has a problem with punctuality; summons a pack of Ninja hounds headed by the pug Pakkun; skilled with lightning, water, and earth ninjutsu; Soriya's lover.
Soriya (Suki) Kanzin*: female; age 25; birthday July 16th; 5'7” tall; jonin rank; dark red hair and gray eyes; wielder of the Kanzin clan's empathic/telepathic Kekkei Genkai; skilled with water, lightning, and light ninjutsu plus various genjutsu; also known by the aliases “Shinku Bara” or “Crimson Rose”.
Yuichigo Nakamura*: male; age 20; birthday September 29th; 5'10” tall; jonin rank; short, spiky brown hair and brown eyes; former ANBU black ops agent; skilled in taijutsu and obfuscation genjutsu; uses wind and earth style ninjutsu; favored weapon is the katana.
Takeo Matsumoto*: male; age 24; birthday November 2nd; 5'10” tall; jonin rank; shoulder length black hair, often worn in a ponytail; black, almond-shaped eyes; former ANBU black ops agent; a gifted ninja, particularly skilled with taijutsu and ninjutsu, especially fire and wind styles.
Ibiki Morino: male; age 47 (in the manga he is only 1 year older than Kakashi. I changed this for story purposes); birthday March 20th; 6'4” tall; special jonin rank; has two diagonal scars across his face and wears a black scarf cap to hide the fact that he's lost all his hair from being burned and tortured; Head of the Torture and Interrogation Unit; Soriya's mentor.
Enya Ryusuki*: male; age 27; birthday June 9th; 5'9” tall; jonin rank; short buzz-cut brown hair and blue eyes; a gifted medic ninja.
Bathsheba* and Ra*: female, male; ages ?; a pair of Abyssinian cat demi-gods Soriya summons from time to time; very powerful telepaths.
Yori Itasuki*: male; age 23; auburn hair, brown eyes; his parents, Mika and Yoshi (both deceased) adopted Soriya after her own parents mysteriously disappeared when she was six.
Izumi Itasuki*: female; age 22; Yori's wife, and Soriya's friend; black shoulder-length hair, black eyes; she has had two children with Yori; Iori is the firstborn son, age 2 ½. Her daughter, Sumiko, is not quite 3 months old.
Rukia Sonata*: female; age 26; birthday December 20th; shoulder-length black hair, usually shoved into a bun of some sort; blue eyes; wears glasses; Soriya's friend; an expert chemist, the Hokage depends on her to research new poisons/antidotes.
Genma Shiranui: male; age 31 (in the manga, he is 2 years older than Kakashi. I adjusted this for story purposes); jonin rank; chin-length brown hair, brown eyes; always holding a senbon between his teeth; womanizer.
Emiko Hagane*: female; age 23(deceased); chunin rank; dark brown hair, hazel eyes; the medic-nin on Soriya's old squad; skilled with poisons and the crossbow.
Natsu Oseki*: male; age 23(deceased); chunin rank; short brown hair, brown eyes; a taijutsu specialist from Soriya's old squad.
Naruto Uzumaki: male; age 17; birthday October 10th; chunin rank; blond hair, blue eyes; one of Kakashi's former students; Naruto holds the spirit and power of the Nine-Tailed Fox (a powerful demon) imprisoned inside his body; his goal is to become Hokage someday so everyone will have to respect him; master of the Shadow Clone jutsu; really likes ramen.
Sasuke Uchiha: male; age 18; birthday July 23rd; chunin rank; black hair with black eyes (unless Sharingan is activated); last of the Uchiha clan and wielder of the Sharingan Kekkei Genkai; one of Kakashi's former students and one-time disciple of the traitorous Orochimaru; sought revenge on his elder brother Itachi for slaughtering the clan.
Sakura Haruno: female; age 18; birthday March 28th; chunin rank; strawberry-colored hair (I know, I know, in the anime, it looks pink), green eyes; one of Kakashi's students, now training as a medic-nin under Hokage Tsunade; in love with Sasuke; I've tried to make her cooler and less annoying than she is in the original manga (I couldn't help myself—it bugged me too much!).
Hinata Hyuga: female; age 17; birthday December 27th; chunin rank; long black hair, opaque silver eyes; wields the Byakuygan; the eldest daughter of the Hyuga clan leader; has been in love with Naruto for years; very shy.
Shikamaru Nara: male; age 17; birthday September 23rd; jonin rank; black hair worn in a high ponytail; black eyes; a genius with an IQ testing over 200; loves go and shogi; an excellent strategist and tactician; able to use various Shadow Manipulation justu.
Neji Hyuga: male; age 19; birthday July 3; jonin rank; long black hair gathered by a length of cord at the ends; opaque silver eyes; wears a leaf village headband to cover the curse mark seal on his forehead; member of one of the branch families of the Hyuga clan—Neji's father was Clan Leader Hiashi's twin brother, Hizashi; Neji is Hinata's cousin and wields the Byakuygan.
Ino Yamanaka: female; age 17; birthday September 23rd; chunin rank; long blond hair worn in a high ponytail; blue eyes; Sakura's friend and one-time rival for Sasuke's attention (until she got over it); possesses the ability to send her mind into another's body (Mind-Body Transfer jutsu) controlling it briefly—her own body lies in a dormant state during use of this Possession jutsu; any damage occurring to the possessed body affects Ino's real body.
Choji Akimichi: male; age 18; birthday May 1st; brown hair and brown eyes; heavy build of the Akimichi clan, but don't call him fat! A big eater and Shikamaru's closest friend.
Land of Fire
King Shazia*: male; age 49; brown hair with a short, full beard; in the manga, there is actually a Lord of Fire Country, but since they never mention his name, I just made one up.
High Chancellor Odakawa*: male; age 60; full gray hair, clean-shaven.
Leader of the Twelve Guardians*: male; age 38; special jonin rank; long black ponytail and black eyes; The Twelve Guardians are under the direct control of the Land of Fire's King. Their only mission is to serve and protect the royal family. There is such a character in the manga/anime, but we don't know anything about his features/personality, so I took some liberties here and made it up.
Land of Wind
King Takamori*: male; age 70; sickly king of Wind Country
Prince Kisho*: male; age 36; 6'1” tall; black hair; eldest son and Heir to the Throne.
Princess Shiori*: female; age 26; 5'3” tall; long, wheat blond hair; Kisho's wife
Prince Mujito*: male; age 33 (deceased); the younger son; Soriya assassinated him.
Princess Leko*: female; age 23; 5' 4” tall; Mujito's wife
Yukio Ryuji*: male; age 47 (deceased); Mujito's Chief of Security; Soriya set a trap for him and killed him.
Sand Village
Kazekage Gaara: male; age 17; birthday January 19th; short, dark red hair; green eyes with dark circles around them; Lord Gaara suffers from insomnia, a condition brought about by the “merging of a sand demon's essence” with his body at birth by his father, the previous Kazekage (deceased). The demon was forcibly removed two years ago by the evil Akatsuki organization, almost causing Gaara's death. Only the self-sacrifice by a Sand ninja elite medic-nin spared his life. Gaara has mastered all forms of Sand manipulation.
Temari: female; age 21; birthday August 23rd; blond with blue eyes; jonin rank; Gaara's older half-sister (they share the same father); A superb tactician, Temari is an expert at wind and summoning jutsu.
Kankuro: male; age 20; birthday May 15th; brown hair with brown eyes; usually wears face paint to disguise his features (and to look scary); jonin rank; Gaara and Temari's half-brother (they all share the same father but have different mothers); Kankuro excels at Puppetmaster jutsu.
Land of Grass
King Higashi*: male; age 54; 6'0” tall; black hair in a long ponytail with a short, trimmed beard and mustache; a skilled diplomat who is very canny; he took the throne at a young age after his father was killed during one of the Ninja World Wars.
Prince Seiji*: male; age 20; 5'10” tall; short, black hair; Higashi's only son and heir.
Kazuma Higashi*: male; age 27; 5'11” tall; shoulder-length black hair; King Higashi's nephew, the son of his deceased younger brother, Mamoru.
Mamoru Higashi*: male; deceased at age 21; died defending his brother during the last Ninja World War.
High Chancellor Aoi Mitsushima*: male; age 69; 6'0” tall; full gray hair with mustache; he served King Higashi's father faithfully.
Omatsu Toshida*: male; age 33; 6'4” tall; short black hair, clean shaven; brown eyes; one of King Higashi's most trusted jonin; he is a covert “liaison” with the Village Hidden in the Grass; a known smuggler and arms dealer.
Aizuma Chozoro*: male; age 72; 5'7” tall; bald with a long, pointed silver beard; blue eyes; Toshida's loyal aide and servant since Toshida was a baby; seems to have an unusual amount of influence within the Grass King's Court for a mere servant.
Land of Lightning
Kotaro Kunimitsu*: male; late 30s?; 5'10” tall; beautifully handsome, with long, dark gray hair and ruby-colored eyes; a well-known arms dealer, he wields considerable power within the Land of Lightning.
Jinkuro*: male; age 20; 5'8” tall; pale with long, silver hair and blue eyes; Kunimitsu's aide.
Cloud Ninja Envoy Nakata*: male; 31; 6'0” tall; shoulder-length white hair; blue eyes; wears a gray cloak with low-hanging hood to conceal burn damage across his forehead; represents the Raikage at the summit.
Yamanoue*: female; age 24; 5'5” tall; long silver hair worn in a single braid down her back; blue eyes; Nakata's aide.
Prince Raijin*: male; age 28; eldest son and heir to the throne; white hair, blue eyes.
Lady Rangiku*: female; deceased; elder sister of the Land of Lightning's King; white hair and blue eyes.
Land of Water
Mizukage Nishikawa*: male; age 43; 6'2” tall; short brown hair; scars from numerous battles; teeth appear to have been filed to points; he has withstood at least three separate coup attempts in his twenty-plus years of ruling the violent Village Hidden in the Mist; the Mizukage is a character from the manga/anime, but little is actually known about him, so I made up the details.
Aoyama*: male; age 27; 5'11” tall; blue-black hair worn in a low ponytail; teeth filed to points (this seems to be common in the Village Hidden in the Mist); the Mizukage's aide.
Land of Rain
Tomo Asuhara*: male; age 28; 5'10” tall; short brown hair; brown eyes; a shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Rain.
Taro Asuhara*: male; age 28; Tomo's identical twin brother; he is the elder by fifteen minutes.
Goku*: a Capuchin monkey raised and trained by the Rain Village shinobi.
Land of Tea
Boss Jirocho Wasabi: male; mid-to-late 50s; short graying hair and brown eyes; a longtime friend of the Hokage's (from her gambling days); Boss of one of the more profitable towns in the Land of Tea; owner of the Purple Dragon.
Lord of Tea: male; 40s?; appears short and fat, with a large bald spot; his remaining hair is black; the Land of Tea does not possess their own ninja village; security in the towns is left up to the Bosses; generally they rely on Leaf Village shinobi to settle any large-scale difficulties that occur and are therefore strong allies.
High Chancellor Marik*: male; age 57; 5'7” tall; serves the Lord of Tea.
Land of Earth
Due to poor relations between the Lands of Fire and Earth, not much is known about the current leadership in this country.
Village Hidden in Rocks
The rock shinobi have been enemies of the Leaf Village for decades. They are one of the Five Great Shinobi Nations, and are led by the Tsuchikage. The last large-scale clash between these two nations occurred roughly eighteen years ago. Kakashi, a recently promoted jonin at age 13, carried out many missions in and around the Land of Earth's territory. It was on one of these missions (to sabotage bridges thereby preventing the rock ninja advance) that Kakashi's teammates, Rin and Obito were killed.
